Dear North Shore Families,

Summer has been full of excitement, learning, laughter, and opportunities to grow in faith! We are so thankful for all of the children, families, volunteers, and church members who have made this a wonderful season. Here's a look at what has been happening and what's still to come!

Vacation Bible School: Snowball Mountain Challenge

We kicked off the summer with an amazing week of Vacation Bible School from June 8–12! Our theme, Snowball Mountain Challenge, reminded children that God gives us strength for every challenge we face.

Our Mountain Motto came from Philippians 4:13:

"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Throughout the week, children explored both Old and New Testament Bible stories and discovered how ordinary people trusted God in extraordinary situations. They learned about:

• Joseph interpreting dreams
• Queen Esther's courage and bravery
• The widow who gave all she had
• Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane
• Peter and John healing a man at the temple

Each day was filled with exciting activities! Children created fun crafts, played energetic games, explored the Arctic Game Zone and Arctic Art Zone, sang and danced to music, and participated in meaningful mission projects.

One of the highlights of the week was our Mission Station, where children decorated quilt squares that will become blankets for children in Guatemala. They also learned how serving others is one way we can share God's love with the world.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and family who helped make VBS such a memorable week!

Youth Sunday

At the end of June, our children along with the youth participated in Youth Sunday. During the worship service, instead of Children's Time, they had Adult Time. They served our congregation by handing out glow sticks and stickers as reminders to let God's light shine.

In addition to the youth, a couple of our children participated in sharing testimonies about serving during Vacation Bible School and Kids Connect Mission Days. They enjoyed telling the church how much they love to help others and serve God!

Kids Connect: Growing with God Through Play

Our summer Kids Connect theme is Growing with God Through Play!

The children will discover that games are more than just fun. They can also teach us important lessons about following Jesus. Each week we will connect a biblical character or story with a life skill that children can practice through hands-on activities, teamwork, creativity, and play.

Upcoming themes include:

• Teamwork — Aaron and Moses
• Courage — Queen Esther
• Wisdom — King Solomon
• Kindness — The Good Samaritan

Through games, challenges, crafts, and creative projects, children will experience these biblical truths in memorable and meaningful ways.

Children's Worship

During Children's Worship this summer, we are exploring some Bible stories, including:

• The Battle of Jericho
• Moses and the Parting of the Red Sea
• David and Goliath

These stories remind us that God is always faithful, powerful, and with us no matter what challenges we face.
